Buildings around Munich

Although Munich was heavily damaged toward the end of WW2, many architectural jewels were spared or restored. Unfortunately there was a great spurt of rebuilding immediately at war’s end to revive the economy and get life back to normal. Although the new work was of basic design and functionality, I think it won few design awards. But in recent years many new buildings have sprung up, often having techno styling of glass and stainless steel, much admired in Germany. Here are a few examples of old and new we came across as we wandered around randomly.
