Binz – A Fine Beach Resort
Posted on June 15, 2015
Developed in the late 1800s, Binz is a high quality beach resort on the Baltic Sea, with wide beaches of fine white sand, bordered by former patrician homes and fine hotels, and a wide tree lined promenade for strolling and people watching. It’s a great place to kick back and let the world go by. Our four day visit was too short, but we’ve said that about almost every place we’ve stayed on this trip.
We had a fine traditional apartment a few blocks from the beach with a balcony overlooking a sylvan lake. With our car’s navi working so well, we found the condo easily. Our place was immaculate and spacious. We felt like we were home.
Let’s take a stroll down through town and the beach.
While in Binz we had many nice walks in the woods, both right from our condo and after short drives. Here’s a photo of our local lake, and one of the famous chalk cliffs.
Next we are turning inland for a new kind of experience, staying at an 18th century hunting lodge for a night.
